‘Longwood #22 Detail’  is the first tapestry in the series that has been woven by Stephen’s weaving studio in Johannesburg South Africa. The original painting was shown as part of the exhibition Trunk show III at Marders in the USA. That Ink on watercolour paper is a study of trees seen through a window in winter. It stands 1.6mt by 1.2mt.

The concept for the tapestry was to evoke the same feeling as the ink drawing including the  ‘deckle’ edges of the original 4 pieces of paper on which the painting was made.
